The Cape Fear Chorale is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and passionate individual to join our team as Chorus Manager. This key role supports the administrative needs of our organization, ensuring smooth operations and helping us continue to bring exceptional choral music to the Cape Fear region.

Chorus Manager Job Description
Reporting to both the Artistic Director and the President of the Board of Directors, the Chorus Manager position supports the administrative needs of Cape Fear Chorale.

Roster management, including but not limited to maintaining a membership directory, email list, and emergency phone tree;
Create, distribute, and collect intent forms for upcoming seasons and special projects;
Schedule, facilitate, and in some cases, attend auditions for the chorus;
Coordinate details of auditions, including location and schedule, with new and returning members;
Chorus rehearsal, performance, and special event logistics and management, working with set-up team and venue staff to coordinate logistics;
Attend all rehearsals and performances;
Maintain attendance records for rehearsals and performances;
Enforce attendance and performance dress policies;
Support choral library volunteers;
Send weekly chorus communications (more as needed) to keep the chorus updated on news and changes;
Serve as liaison between chorus, artistic team, and Board of Directors;
Collect member dues and other payments from singers;
Assist artistic staff in maintaining a collegial atmosphere among singers, artistic staff, and Board of Directors;
Assist with maintaining accurate records and archives;
Collect mail from the Cape Fear Chorale P.O. box; and
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned or needed.

Music background: choral training is a plus;
Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills;
Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills;
Experience with facilitating large groups of people;
Ability to think and act quickly for the benefit of the Chorale in high pressure situations;
Excellent computer skills (Google Workspace, MailChimp, etc.);
Access to home office space and/or personal computer;
Access to personal vehicle;
Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends;
Undergraduate degree preferred.

$20/hour, minimum 5 hours a week, more as needed.
